泰山位于山东省南部的泰安市。泰安市原名泰山市，泰山的名气很大，所以把泰山取名作为市名，像乐山所在地点叫乐山市一样。泰山是五岳之首。五岳分别为：东岳泰山南岳衡山、中岳嵩山、西岳华山、北岳恒山。东岳泰山排名第一，高度(主峰离地面的距离)排行第三，大约1545米高，有“登泰山，小天下”之称。有许多名人均登临泰山，如秦始皇汉武帝唐太宗宋祖乾隆。据记载，泰山至今已经有二十亿年的历史。

超过云层，所以上面有较大的冷空气，冷的像寒冰一样直入骨髓。如果你们很冷，可以到附近租一套皮棉袄。天街不光冷，小吃也特别多。泰山的小吃很有特色，如小米煎饼，这里的小米煎饼双酸双薄，又加了大葱、甜面酱、煎鸡蛋，用十里飘香这个词来形容再适合不过了。天街的第三大特点就是――石碑特别多。天街上石碑比泰山其它地方的石碑多5倍多。天街最著名的石碑位于天街中部，这个石碑上面雕刻着十一个大字：“泰山世界文化与自然遗产”这个石碑是1987年11月19日雕刻的。这个石碑表明了泰山是世界文化与自然遗产之一。但是中国只有4处(20_年前)，泰山是其中第三个命名的。

再往上走，大家就到了主峰部位。主峰的东侧有一个观日石。在原来，传说古人因为爬山时很多人看不到日出，人们齐心协力从山上搬来一块大石头，大家把它放在观日点，人们站着或者坐在上面，就看到了日出。

现在，为了看到日出，人们夜里三点就来爬泰山或提前住在山顶上，这是为了等待看日出。主峰的西侧有一块石碑，上面雕刻着四个鲜红的大字：“五岳独尊”，这四个大字时古代文学家孟子(孟轲)说出的，意思是：“五岳之中，排名榜首”。从古至今，这四个字成了千古佳来到泰山面前，站在迎客松下，隐隐约约可以看到十八盘。因为古人说：“一叶障目，不见泰山”。十八盘的台阶共1594级。高约400多米，可以说是泰山的“脊梁”。如果你从下面的中天门顺着十八盘一直登上南天门，你就会感觉到小腿肚子一直在不停的打哆嗦，这是因为十八盘很陡。

登上了南天门，大家先休息一下，留个影，休息一会我们再向上爬。

休息完了以后，大家请继续跟我向上爬。爬上一小段距离以后，便到了天街。天街位于泰山海拔1250米的高空中。因为天街已经话。再往上走，就到了泰山的最高点――玉皇顶。从玉皇顶的观望台往下走，就看到了泰山的全景。正如大诗人杜甫在《望岳》一诗中所讲：“会当凌绝顶，一览众山晓”。

泰山的美在于自然景观与人文景观的有机结合。泰山的自然景观之美，美在山体的高大及形象的雄伟。它主峰突兀，山势陡峻，山峦叠起，与周围的河海、平原产生了强烈的比较，构成了“一览众山小”的高旷气势。泰山山脉绵延200多公里，基础宽厚，形体集中，使人产生一种安稳感和厚重感，在心理上就构成了“稳如泰山”、“重如泰山”的自然感受。

泰山的人文景观与自然景观相协调。它的布局重点是从山下祭地的社首山开始，经过城区，沿着登山盘道，直达告天的玉皇顶，进行了自然空间的整体构思。在这条景观带上，大体上分为三重空间：一是以泰城为中心的人间闹市;二是以城区中的奈河到蒿里山一带为“阴曹地府”;三是以城区北部的岱宗坊为起点，沿长达6000余级的“云梯”盘道，直至岱顶“天庭仙界”。

泰山由于优越的地理环境而成为古人类繁衍生息的主要地域之一，是远古人心中最高最大的山，蕴含着悠悠五千多年的历史文化积淀。在泰山之阳，发掘出了五千多年前的大汶口文化遗址，在泰山之阴有四千年前的龙山文化遗址。这为研究母系社会向父系社会过渡和国家的兴起、礼貌的起源供给了翔实而丰富的史料。
